Jake Bessie DMD BSc
Jake grew up in the Sea to Sky region and is an avid skier and mountain biker. He followed in his father, Bruce Bessie's, footsteps to become a dentist and completed his undergraduate training at the University of Victoria and his dental degree at the University of British Columbia. While at school, Jake won awards for excellence in both oral surgery and prosthodontics (restorative dentistry). Jake established Diamond Head Dental, in 2005. He currently practices all types of dentistry, but has a particular affinity for cosmetic and implant dentistry. He has recently been granted Fellowship status in Implant Dentistry from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists(ICOI). Jake's wife, Fern, is an emergency physician in Whistler and he has two daughters.
Chris Kelly DDS
Dr. Chris Kelly grew up on Vancouver Island, immersed in the outdoors. He attended the University of Western Ontario in London, and after two years of his undergrad biology degree, he was accepted into dental school as the youngest member of his class. After graduating dental school in 2005, Dr. Kelly completed a voluntary one year General Practice Residency at UBC. This involved advanced training in all facets of dentistry while working out of Vancouver General Hospital, the UBC (Dental) Specialty clinic, the BC Cancer Agency and Haida Gwaii. Since 2006 Dr Kelly has worked in busy practices in Lillooet and Abbotsford, BC. He is very happy to now call Squamish his home. His wife, Rachel Kelly, is a family physician currently working in Squamish and Whistler. They have two young daughters.
